Equity and Diversity Program Coordinator
Gubbins Headshot

I oversee the communications, branding, and digital strategy of the office and work closely with the Senior Director to develop program, initiatives, and special projects related to creating an inclusive campus community. I also assist in cross-departmental programmatic collaborations and provide support to the Harvard Foundation internship and programs.

While this is my first role at Harvard, I have lived in and around Boston for over 20 years, and worked in higher education as a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Program Coordinator at Endicott College and as a Program Coordinator for the Northeastern N.U.in program. I have also developed reentry programming for students returning to San Jose State University after an education abroad experience, and I have presented my work at the NAFSA Northern CA District Conference, IFSA’s You Belong Here Webinar Series, and a panel about Building BIPOC Unity Against Asian Hate through the Compear Global education Network. Additionally, I sit on the planning committee and am the technical lead for the annual Respectful Disruption Summit hosted by the Compear Global Education Network.

Before working in higher education, I worked in the field of K-8 education as a Spanish language and Hispanic culture teacher, travel as customer service representative and supervisor, and mental health as a therapeutic mentor.

In my free time, I enjoy painting, traveling, and going to the beach with my dog, Zoë.

Students should feel comfortable reaching out to me about academic skills and strategies, intercultural communication, BIPOC support and resources, leveraging faculty relationships, international education, and programming that addresses themes of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
